Hi Unstoppable Achievers,
Last Wednesday was one of those days that ended up being exactly what I needed, even though I didn’t realize it until I was in the middle of it. I joined my friend Mary Meyer on her podcast “Healthy Happy Wise Wealthy,” and she asked me to lead listeners through goal setting for 2026. Now, you’d think as someone who talks about vision and mission constantly, I’d have my goals locked and loaded. But here’s the beautiful irony – the conversation gave me the space to re-reflect, re-think, and honestly, re-write my own goals for 2026.
That’s the thing about teaching what we need to learn, right? Sometimes we need to hear ourselves say it out loud to really understand it.
One of my renewed commitments came into sharp focus: reading great books, re-reading the ones that shaped me, and listening to voices that challenge and inspire me. I’ve been diving back into Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” (https://amzn.to/49ghzWw) and tuning into Darren Hardy’s Darren Daily (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6175292092?omn=83796611707). What struck me this time around wasn’t necessarily new information – it was the aha moment of hearing similar principles from different voices and recognizing how much our readiness to receive determines what we actually hear.
We need to believe in ourselves. We need to have our plan and our mission. But here’s what I’m sitting with as we embrace the second week of 2026: we also need to make sure we’re climbing the right mountain.
This morning on Darren Daily, I heard something that stopped me cold: You don’t want to wake up 30 years later and realize you were climbing the wrong mountain. In “The Success Principles,” Canfield shares the story of a young woman in her fourth year of college who realizes she doesn’t actually want to be a vet. Four years in. Think about that.
This is why measure, monitor, and adjust isn’t just a business principle – it’s a life principle. It’s permission to keep checking in with yourself. Are you still going after the right dream? Not someone else’s dream for you. Not the dream you thought you should have ten years ago. YOUR dream. The one that makes you wake up excited, the one that aligns with who you’re becoming, not just who you were.
When you go after what you genuinely love, you’ll find a way to generate income. I’ve seen this play out in my own life and in the lives of every authentic leader I’ve interviewed on “Unstoppable Success.” The money follows the passion, the purpose, the commitment to showing up for what matters to you. That’s when you stop working and start living. That’s when you never work a day in your life because you’re doing what you’re meant to do.
And here’s the real measure of success: it’s not about the items you collect. It’s about the impact you make, the memories you create, and the moments you share with the people you love. That’s your true north. That’s your right mountain.
So as you move through this week, I’m challenging you to do what I’m doing: enrich yourself. Read the books. Listen to the voices that expand your thinking. But most importantly, pause and ask yourself – am I climbing my mountain? Or someone else’s?
Here’s to climbing the right one,
Jaclyn
